Reindeer safari to the land of snow 3,5 h / wednesday

Description

We pick you up from your place of accommodation in Saariselkä to take you to Riekkovaara Reindeer Farm and dress in warm outdoor clothing, before you get acquainted
with the reindeer. During the safari you’ll sit in a traditional Lappish reindeer sleigh. Seated warmly on reindeer hides and wrapped in warm blankets, it’s nice to feel the authentic and tranquil nature,
broken only by the snap of the reindeer hooves and the sound of the sleigh being pulled across the snow. During the trip, we stop at a cabin or a Lappish kota shelter to warm up and savour a soup
lunch. While having coffee, the reindeer herder tells about reindeer and reindeer herding. As a souvenir, you’ll receive your own International Reindeer Driving Licence. Upon arriving back at the
farm, it’s time to say goodbye and return to Saariselkä.
